Junior Product Manager

The Junior Product Manager is responsible for working with external and internal customers to determine functional requirements as they relate to the OberoSPM product. They will articulate the requirements/user stories to meet customer needs and provide context to development. The ideal candidate has a great interest in general software development practices and will be willing to work effectively with local and remote teams.

 

Must be eager to learn, seek out new solutions and adapt quickly within a dynamic technical environment.

 

Responsibilities:

Assist in the development of business requirements with the Product Owner.
Work with all stakeholders to understand client needs and translate them to business requirements
Review QA test plans to align with acceptance criteria, lead UAT testing and review early builds to ensure  adherence to requirements;
Assist in maintaining user guides and technical reference documentation;
Provide peer level support to professional services and customer success teams to triage and prioritize customer issues for quick resolution;
Identify and manage business activities required to support launch of new capabilities (e.g., process, change management, documentation, marketing, etc.);
This role may require travel to the US and/or Europe.

 

 

Skills & Experience:

1-3 years’ experience in a related field
Knowledge of contemporary software development methodologies and processes especially Agile Scrum;
Able to translate business strategy, vision and customer insights into clear product requirements;
Expert verbal and written communication skills, ability to communicate on a broad spectrum (from deep technical discussions to high level executive vision);
Expert fact-based problem-solving skills to solve complex issues and drive actionable outcomes;
Experience with Microsoft Team Foundation Server/Visual Studio Team Services 1-3 years
Deep passion for customer-centric design and innovation;
Previous work experience in the following disciplines considered a plus:

Product management or product development;
Leading cross-functional projects in the financial services and/or sales compensation management space.
Jira

Certified Scrum Product Owner designation a significant asset;
Certified Scrum Master Designation an asset.
